The Nepalgun Medical College is affiliated to Kathmandu University, a national University established by an independent, non profit, non-government public institution. The executive council of kathmandu University granted permanent affiliation to NGMc in April. 2004.

Nepal Medical Council

Nepalgunj Medical College is fully recognized by Nepal Medical Council and Government of Nepal. Nepalese graduates of NGMC who appeared in the licencing exam of Nepal Medical council have qualified and received registration to practice in Nepal.

Sri Lanka Medical Council

Nepalgunj Medical College is fully recognized by Sri Lanka Medical Council.

Nepalgunj Medical College is listed in the WHOs World Directory of Medical Schools. NGMC graduates are eligible for the qualifying examinations worldwide. Many NGMC graduates have qualified PLAB test.
