Historical Background  

Nepal, the country of Mount Everest, Highest peak of the world and the Land of Lord Buddha – The embodiment of Peace, is a developing Nation. In order to increase the pace of development, the Government of Nepal took a decision in 1993 to promote medical education and health care in relatively remote and underdeveloped areas of Nepal.  

Hospitals

The Main Teaching Hospital of 830-bed capacity is located at Kohalpur, 10 km away from the basic Science campus. Kohalpur is a new township at the junction of East-West highway and the North-South Nepalgunj-Surkhet Highway.

The Teaching Hospital is constructed in a 60703 sq.mtr. Plot of land hardly 500 meters off the main highway. The management has completed the entire infrastructure needed for its operation. The Teaching Hospital is fully functional with independent and adequate water & electricity supply.



  • The second Teaching Hospital owned by the college management is located at Nepalgunj, a vibrant district headquarter town of more than 1, 00,000 population. It is located 16 km. south from main teaching Hospital and 6 km away from Indian Border town, Rupaidiha (Baharich). The hospital has 220 beds with all modern facilities including CT-Scan, MRI, Mammography, BMD, Digital X-ray, CR System, Superspeciality wing has been completed at Nepalgunj Hospital.
